TuairiscArdnagashel House, Bantry Bay, County Cork, Ireland.jpg
English: Finding the meaning of Irish place names has become quite the blood sport with books, social media threads and TV programmes feeding those hungry followers. So what does "Ardnagashel" mean? My interpretation would be The heights of the Castle but that can hardly be right down by the seashore with hardly a hill in sight. The two men standing in the foreground would have been a great addition had the one in the light coloured trousers stood still for a few seconds.
