Italiano: Esso ha alle spalle una storia lunga, ricca di varianti grafiche. All’inizio dell’Ottocento i leoni erano due, affrontati ad una spiga di grano (albero della vita) e sormontati da una corona di città. Nel 1903, su suggerimento dello storico Emilio Motta, lo stemma fu modificato, riducendo ad uno i leoni. Dall’inizio degli anni ’50 il leone è spesso definito «pardo» (un errore secondo le regole della descrizione araldica), pur avendo costantemente mantenuto le sembianze grafiche del leone.
