TuairiscCill Mhaoilchéadair (Kilmalkedar), The Chancellor's House - geograph.org.uk - 275343.jpg
English: Cill Mhaoilchéadair (Kilmalkedar): The Chancellor's House This is the ruin of the fifteenth century single storey two-roomed dwelling known as The Chancellor's House. Most contemporary houses were built of wood or wattles, and this is one of the few rectangular stone houses of that period to have survived in the west of Ireland. The house belonged to the Chancellor of the Diocese of Ardfert, and possibly indicates the importance of the Parish of Kilmalkedar within that diocese at that time.
