English: Knockando station, Morayshire. Knockando is located on the north bank of the River Spey on the former Great North of Scotland Railway's line between Boat of Garten and Craigellachie, 15 miles NE of Grantown.
Knockando station saw its last passenger train in 1965 and was later used as a visitor centre for Tamdhu Distillery (Grouse Whisky) but is now out of use, The whole of the station (including the signal box, which is in very good condition complete with levers) is listed. The distillery renamed it Tamdhu (its third name - it was originally Dalbeallie when it opened in 1899). Parts of the trackbed, including the ten miles between Ballindalloch and Craigellachie, have been utilised for the Speyside Way.
