Cumhdach mionmhaisithe Éireannach de chuid na 11ú haoise is ea An Míosach.[1][2] Tháinig sé ó dhúchas as Cluain Maine, tuaisceart Dún na nGall. Luaitear é sna hannála don chéad uair faoin mbliain 1165.[3] Tugtar dáta siar go dtí an 11ú haois dó, nuair a chosnaítí ann is dócha lámhscríbhinn le sailm nó soiscéalta. Bhí an cumhdach folamh áfach faoin 18ú haois nuair a scríobhadh chur síos air.
Maraon le Cathach Cholm Cille, thógtaí i mbun catha é sa mheánaois cosúil le meirge.[4] Bhí nasc níos deireanaí idir é agus Naomh Cairneach, éarlamh Thuiléin, Contae na Mí,[5][6] ach faoin meánaois dhéanach, ba chuid de chultas Cholm Cille (521-59 AD) é.[7]
Cuireadh leis an gcumhdach sa bhliain 1534 ag an ngabha óir, Brian O'Morrison, le tul- agus taobh-mhaisiú le clocha leathlómhara, agus rilífí san áireamh Céasadh Íosa, Muire Ógh agus Leanbh, agus na triúr éarlamh Éireann: Bríd, Pádraig agus Colm Cille.
Caomhnaítear é i nArd-Mhúsaem na hÉireann, ina fhoirgneamh seandálaíochta ar tSráid Chill Dara.
