Scríbhneoir, staraí agus ársaitheoir Éireannach ba ea Cathal Ó Conchúir (Cathal Ua Conchubhair) (1d Eanáir 1710 – 1d Iúil 1791), as Béal Átha na gCarr.[1][2] Bhí an-tionchar aige mar phríomhcharachtar ar chaomhnú chultúr agus stair na hÉireann san 18ú haois. Lena chuid eolais chéadaigh de lámhscríbhinní Éireannacha agus cultúr na nGael, chuir sé deireadh lena lán smaoineamh agus tuairimí mealltacha maidir le stair na hÉireann.
